Ivory Crown started with one Yorkie on our couch and a lot of questions. She taught us how much personality fits into seven pounds, and how much the first eight weeks of a puppy’s life shape the dog it becomes.
Why only Yorkies
We raise one breed because we want to know it inside out: its coat, its quirks, its health risks and what makes a Yorkie a good family dog. We don’t breed doodles or mixes, and we don’t breed for “teacup” size.
How our puppies are raised
Our puppies are born and raised inside our home. They hear the vacuum and the doorbell, meet visitors and gentle kids, get handled and brushed every day, and start potty and crate practice before they leave. We keep litters few so every puppy gets real one-on-one time.
How we choose homes
We read every application ourselves and talk with every family. Sometimes that means suggesting a different puppy, or even a different breed. We would rather a family wait for the right puppy than rush into the wrong one.
